Sirius, the new Brazilian synchrotron light source, will be the largest and most complex scientific infrastructure ever built in Brazil and one of the world’s first 4th generation synchrotron light sources. It is planned to place Brazil as the world leader in the production of synchrotron light and is designed to be the brightest among all the equipment in its energy class.
The Sirius project is described in detail in the document below (in portuguese), including the presentation of the technical-executive projects of the accelerators, beamlines and construction works, illustrating the complexity of the project and its demanding technical requirements.
