OPPORTUNITY FOR BEAMLINE RESEARCHER

The Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS) has an immediate permanent position for a scientist with a background in X-ray micro and nano tomography (XCT)

The Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS) has an immediate permanent position for a scientist with a background in X-ray micro and nano tomography (XCT). The candidate will be responsible for developing scientific projects in the area of pore scale physics, at the MOGNO beamline of Sirius.

MOGNO is a beamline designed to perform fast micro and nano 3D imaging, with a multi-scale analysis of several material classes in different in-situ sample environments. The instrument will operate with X-rays energies of 20, 40 and 70 keV, in a cone beam geometry, allowing image resolutions ranging from 100 nm to 0.05 mm.

The candidate will be expected to participate actively in the construction, commissioning and in future user program of the beamline and its associated instruments.

Open position for the Optics Group

LNLS has an open position for the Optics Group, which provides expert support in optical design of synchrotron beamlines and metrology of X-ray optics for beamlines of the new Brazilian synchrotron light source, Sirius.

As a member of the Optics Group you will characterize X-ray optics surface quality. You as self-motivated candidate further develop and optimize the instruments and procedures to push the measurement precision beyond the current state-of-the-art.

Permanent Position - Technological Development Analyst - Reference Nr. 144170

Opportunity for Beamline Researcher at LNLS

Activities include the planning, construction and commissioning of the Cateretê beamline at the new brazilian synchrotron light source, Sirius

The Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS) has an immediate permanent position for an outstanding scientist with an X-ray Photon Correlation Spectroscopy (XPCS) background. The candidate will be responsible for the XPCS scientific program at the coherent scattering beamline Cateretê at the new brazilian synchrotron light source, Sirius. The Cateretê beamline will specialize in coherent applications, Coherent X-ray Diffractive Imaging (CXDI) and X-ray Photon Correlation Spectroscopy  as well as Time-Resolved Small Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS). The candidate will be expected to participate actively in the construction and commissioning of the Cateretê beamline, as well as to assist users at the scattering beamlines.
