The SXS Beamline Group is responsible for managing and operating the SXS Beamline dedicated to X-ray Absorption and Photoemission Spectroscopy in the current UVX synchrotron light source of the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS).
The team of researchers and technicians are responsible for assembling the instrumentation necessary for performing the experiments. They are responsible for advising users in the operation of the equipment, collection of data and processing of the data obtained in the SXS beamline.
The SXS beamline is an experimental station dedicated to X-ray Absorption and Photoelectron Spectroscopy in the soft X-rays (1 to 5 keV) energy range. It focuses on to study the electronic, magnetic and geometric structures of materials with applications to atomic and molecular physics, analytical chemistry, environmental and geoscience. Other experimental techniques available include X-ray Magnetic Dichroism and Resonant Auger Spectroscopy.MORE INFORMATION
